The early 1930’s Fords can lay claim to being the framework of the classic American hot rod. Here’s a 1931 Ford that epitomizes the old school look with modern technology.
Outfitted in classic black with gold pinstriping and a black vinyl interior, power comes from a Chevrolet small block and a three-speed automatic transmission. Stopping power comes from power four-wheel disc brakes. An HEI ignition provides the spark and a Holley carb feeds gas and air to the eight cylinders.
Coil over shocks handle the ride and tunes come from a Kenwood stereo system mounted to the floor of the passenger compartment. A GM tilt steering column with aftermarket steering wheel handles shifting the gears and classic Cragar Super Sport wheels can be found on all four corners.
The odometer reads just under 100 miles, which we believe to have been put on since the car was built but we cannot confirm this. In accordance with statutes regarding licensed Missouri auto dealers, the car is offered “mileage exempt” due to age.
