#16 of only 100 built for the US market, this low-mileage limited edition Ferrari F355 Serie Fiorano is fast, rare and beautiful in stunning Giallo Modena! The paddle-shifted F1 six-speed transmission and the 375HP V8 make this a wonderful driving experience!

While Ferrari made a name for itself in racing circles, the company has also created automobiles for the street that combine the performance of their race cars with the style and beauty of the world’s best sports cars.   The F355 ranks high on that list, with production beginning in May 1994 through the 1999 model year.

Power for the F355 was derived from a 3.5L V8 aluminum block engine displacing 375 horsepower with a unique five valves per cylinder (three intake and two exhaust).  Torque was an impressive 268 lb-ft at 6,000 RPM with an 8,500 RPM deadline.  Initially the car was only available with a gated six-speed manual transmission but in the middle of production Ferrari introduced a paddle-shifted six-speed manual transmission using technology borrowed from the automaker’s successful Formula One racing program.

The Pininfarina-designed two-seater body was very sleek, the result of over 1,000 hours of wind tunnel testing.  The Berlinetta (hardtop) was introduced first with the Spider (convertible) and GTS (targa top) following quickly.

The factory marked the final year of production by introducing the 1999 F355 Serie Fiorano, a limited-edition left-hand drive model primarily targeted for the US market.  A total of 100 cars (all Spiders) were produced, 74 bearing the F1 paddled shifted transmission and 26 having the gated six-speed manual.  (NOTE:  A total of 104 cars were actually built with four designed for right-hand-drive markets, three going to Europe and one to South Africa.)  The car had several unique interior features along with body and suspension upgrades designed to improve performance and handling.

This beautiful 1999 Ferrari Serie Fiorano bears the dash plaque proclaiming it to be the 16th car built out of the 100-car production run.  The Giallo Modena (also called Fly Yellow, as in Ferrari light yellow) exterior is contrasted with the black interior and black convertible top.  This car features the paddle-shifted F1 transmission had has been driven only 18,000 miles.  The car has been a part of the current owner’s automotive portfolio since July 2012 and he has driven the car occasionally since he purchased it.  The car is housed in a humidity-controlled environment.
